Terms of Service
Plain-language terms for using Guarrix.
Guarrix is an AI guardrail API operated by Dot-0, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands (KVK 34268249). The service intercepts API calls between your application and LLM providers and evaluates prompts and responses for PII leakage, prompt injection attacks, and configurable policy rules. Guarrix is a probabilistic system — it does not guarantee detection of all violations. It is not validated for safety-critical applications including medical diagnosis, legal decisions, child safeguarding, or critical infrastructure. Tenants remain responsible for validating the service against their specific requirements.
You must register with a valid email address and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for the security of your credentials and API keys. Notify us immediately at hello@guarrix.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You must not create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits.
You may not use Guarrix to process unlawful content, to attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent the guardrail itself, to resell or sub-license access without a written agreement, or to deliberately generate traffic designed to exhaust rate limits. We may suspend accounts found in violation without prior notice, except where advance notice is practicable and the violation poses no immediate security risk.
Your Guarrix API key is displayed once at creation and cannot be retrieved again — store it securely. If you lose your key, rotate it from your account settings. Your LLM provider API keys, if stored in Guarrix, are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest and are never accessible to Dot-0 staff in plaintext. You are responsible for revoking compromised keys promptly.
Paid plans are billed monthly in EUR. We use Paddle for payment processing. Overage charges apply at the rates shown on the pricing page at the time of use. Invoices are issued by Dot-0 and subject to Dutch VAT rules. Prices may be adjusted with 30 days’ notice; you may cancel before the new price takes effect. Consumer customers in the EU have a 14-day withdrawal right (herroepingsrecht) on new subscriptions, unless the service has been fully delivered with your prior explicit consent to commence immediately.
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time from account settings or by emailing hello@guarrix.com. After cancellation, paid features remain available until the end of the current billing period; the account then reverts to the free tier. If your usage exceeds free-tier limits after downgrade, API calls above the limit will be rejected until you upgrade or reduce usage. Dot-0 may terminate accounts for serious breaches of these Terms, unpaid invoices after 30 days’ written notice, or inactivity exceeding 12 months on a free account.
Guarrix is provided as-is without warranty of uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or fitness for any specific purpose. Under the EU Product Liability Directive, Dot-0 is the producer of this software product and you may have statutory rights in the event of damage caused by a defect. Dot-0’s total contractual liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim, or EUR 150, whichever is greater. Dot-0 is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits or data loss, except where Dutch mandatory law prohibits such exclusion.
As an AI system that evolves over time, Guarrix may become less effective at detecting certain patterns if not updated. Dot-0 will release updates to address known defects and will notify tenants of significant changes via email or the in-app changelog. Tenants are responsible for testing their integration after updates. If a known defect materially affects your use case, contact hello@guarrix.com — we will provide a documented workaround or a timeline for resolution. Dot-0 maintains an internal defect register available for disclosure upon legitimate legal request.
By using Guarrix you enter into a data processing agreement (DPA) with Dot-0 as processor under Article 28 GDPR. As processor, Dot-0 processes personal data only on your instructions, implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures, assists with your GDPR obligations, and deletes or returns data upon contract termination. A full copy of the DPA is available at hello@guarrix.com. If your integration involves processing personal data of EU data subjects, you must ensure you have a valid legal basis for that processing before routing it through Guarrix.
All software, design, documentation, and other materials comprising Guarrix are owned by Dot-0 or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose while your account is active. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, create derivative works from, or redistribute any part of the service. Your own content (prompts, configurations, rules) remains your property.
Dot-0 is not liable for failures to perform caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, power outages, internet infrastructure failures, DDoS attacks, actions of government authorities, or failures of third-party hosting providers. In such cases, Dot-0 will make reasonable efforts to restore service and will communicate status updates via email or the service status page.
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably within 30 days of written notice will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Alkmaar, Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the EU, mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence apply to the extent they are more protective than Dutch law.
